Sometimes, being a Mum can feel like hard work.
It can feel as though we’re doing as much wrong as we’re doing right; that the challenges we solve today are just replaced with new challenges tomorrow.
But in reality, my life as a Mum is pretty straightforward. The challenges we meet are run-of-the-mill everyday challenges.
If you want to talk about inspiring stories, check out the shortlist for the Tesco Mum of The Year, where some actually, properly inspiring Mums share their stories. It’s a timely reminder that there are women – and families – out there who face real challenges with strength and humour and wisdom, and make the world a better life in the process. Why not celebrate people like that instead of someone who took a shower in the jungle?
All the shortlisted women will now be considered by a judging panel and judging will take place this month. The winners will be announced in January, and presented with their awards at a gala awards ceremony in London on 23 March 2014.
