I am a fairly even-tempered person.
I don’t get wound up by bad drivers, I can shrug off poor service in shops, lateness or most things. But if you have thick, shiny hair, I can’t help but hate you. Just a little bit.
I have been cursed with dead straight, fine hair. Oh, and it’s light brown. So it’s basically completely boring on every level. And now I’m middle-aged, I have the added joy of my Mum pointing out a new grey hair every time I visit her. I sometimes wish we were one of those families that only met up on holidays – my Mum is so GLEEFUL when she finds a new grey hair on my head. Seriously, where do grey hairs even come from? They just appear, overnight.
So, when the people at Regis offered to whisk me off for a hair cut and colour, I thought about it for all of two seconds before saying yes. But it’s not just me who gets lucky in this scenario. Oh no.
