You could be entertaining the kids and soaking up the sunshine at the Paris Plages, with pop-up beaches, deckchairs and free music events. Or pack a picnic and head to the glorious Luxembourg Gardens, where you can play petanque and enjoy the view. You could even head out of the city and spend a day at Disneyland!

Don’t fancy Paris? Why not head to Brussels for the day, discovering how Tintin came to life at the Comics Art Museum? Or go to the Brussels Park Theatre and see the legendary adventures of Belgian puppet Guignolet come to life.

Eurostar passengers travelling to Paris and Brussels can also take advantage of 2 for 1 entry into a range of top museums and galleries including Musée d’Orsay and Grand Palais in Paris and Bozar in Brussels, all by simply showing their Eurostar tickets at entry.

I’ve got a two-year-old and a three-year-old and a husband. So three children in total! I’d simply want to soak up the Parisian atmosphere for the day, a picnic with croque monsieurs and limonade, a stroll along the river and a boat ride, topped off with patisserie and a proper chocolat chaud. Simples.

  2. 3rd August 2016 / 12:18 pm

We’d choose Brussels and head straight to get frites and mayonnaise (plus beer for the adults!) All about the culture…

What a fab giveaway, thank you! Paris is one of our favourite places in the world so it would be lovely to go back there with our children. We’d go for a Batobus ride along the river, stopping off at all the sights and monuments. We’d have a wander around Montmatre and the Louvre for some arty culture, a walk up the many steps of the Eiffel Tower to take in the views and finish with a picnic by the river or in the beautiful Parc Montsouris.

A bateau on the Seine would be our first thing to do and then we’d go up the Eiffel Tower, maybe have some lunch, off then to Notre Dame and the Louvre, and if there’s any time left, maybe a bit of shopping at Lafayette. Stroll along the side of the Seine until we were hungry then….an evening meal at an open air restaurant would be ideal before we had to make our way home after a lovely day and one we’d remember for years to come.

We’ve never been to Paris nor France for that matter, so if I was lucky enough to win I would love to do all the cheesy stuff that tourists do like visit the Eifel Tower, Arc de Treon, as much as I could fit it the day and well into the night. If we went to Brussels ohhh we love Belgium but always go to Bruge so would love to cover all of the Brussels as well and see what the difference between the two are.
