One Week.

It’s been one week since Flea went back to school.

In school terms, that’s five days.

The average school day runs for seven hours, from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

That’s 35 hours of school.

I’m guessing that at least three hours a day – or 15 hours a week – is spent sitting down writing or colouring, or whatever it is they do in primary schools these days.

Then there’s 30 minutes for lunch – 2.5 hours over a week.

Twice a week she changes into a jogging suit and trainers, for PE, which takes an hour a time. There’s another 2 hours.

So, riddle me this:

How the HELL do shoes that cost £40 a pair end up looking like this after what can only be (counts on fingers) 15 and a half hours of being worn by a five year old?
